United States - January 24, 2025 California Governor Gavin Newsom on Thursday signed a $2.5 billion aid bill to support response and recovery efforts following the devastating Eaton and Palisades wildfires. The legislation aims to provide aid to affected communities and fund wildfire prevention programmes. During a press conference in Pasadena, Newsom stressed the importance of rebuilding and strengthening resilience in the face of future disasters.
