STORYLINE:
The 3rd International Exhibition for the Orientation of High School and University Students of Cote d'Ivoire was held on Saturday in Abidjan.
The event attracted approximately 6,000 visitors, including many students and parents looking to learn about academic and career planning.
The event aims to provide support for Ivorian youth and help them to build a promising future.
SOUNDBITE 1 (French): SEGALI STEPHANE YEWE, Representative of Minister of National Education and Literacy
"The choices of orientation after the baccalaureate are not limited to a simple academic choice. It represents a strategic decision that will determine not only the career paths of our students but also their contribution to building a resilient, innovative, and internationally competitive Cote d'Ivoire."
SOUNDBITE 2 (French): WAFAA BOUAB BENNANI, Chair of organizing committee
"To the students and future graduates, I wish that this exhibition opens doors for you to new encounters, bold dreams, and promising careers. Together, let this event be a symbol of success and hope for Ivorian youth."
SOUNDBITE 3 (French): RODRIGUE KANGA, Youth career planner
"We will provide students with opportunities that begin with vocational training, helping them acquire real professional skills. This is the first step. Another important aspect is assisting them in finding suitable universities and programs, especially in French-speaking countries. We primarily focus on France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Canada. We help students find universities that are willing to accept them and provide necessary support during their integration process. This is the service we offer."
SOUNDBITE 4 (French): NADIA COULIBALY, Ivorian student
"I think this is a great activity that allows us to learn about the schools we want to be a part of while also providing us with a clear career direction.
It's truly a great opportunity for us students to understand what we want to pursue because most of us are a bit disoriented. And this affects our mindset. Therefore, it's a good initiative."
