An Israeli hostage had an emotional reunion with her family after 482 days in Hamas captivity.

Soldier Agam Berger, 20, was abducted from the Nahal Oz base on October 7.

Dramatic footage shows Agam being hugged by her family and friends, tearfully reunited after such a long ordeal on January 30.

Throughout her captivity, Berger faced difficult conditions but said she remained committed to her faith.

Despite limited food options, she chose not to eat non-kosher meat, which affected her diet but aligned with her religious principles.

Her family expressed immense relief and gratitude, saying: 'Thank God we have reached this moment, and our heroic Agam has returned to us. We want to thank the security forces and the entire people of Israel for their support and prayers. Our healing begins now, but we won't rest until every hostage returns home.'

Agam was freed in the third wave of hostage releases under the Gaza ceasefire deal.

Israel has blitzed the Gaza Strip in retaliation for an attack by the governing party Hamas on a Jewish music festival on October 7 last year.

However, the situation - which Israel claims is self-defence - has attracted criticism from around the world.
