Barn owl chicks dance synchronously while eating chicken meat
Two rescued barn owl chicks danced synchronously while being fed chicken meat.
Footage shows the bird siblings swaying left and right on the basket while a resident - who volunteered to take care of them until they were ready for release - gave them small bites of food in Phetchabun province, Thailand.
Resident Preecha Nukrob said: ‘They were found in a farm under a tree after a heavy storm. We thought that they would die if we left them there, so I asked to take care of them until they were ready to return home.'
Barn owl chicks often sway their bodies because it helps them develop better balance. It is a common behaviour in many young birds to help them learn how to stabilise themselves while standing or adjusting to their environment.
