An angry mob of LGBT rights supporters surrounded the home of an alleged bully who scalded a transgender woman with boiling soup in Thailand.

The group said they condemn Rasipa Preme Satjawan, 22, who allegedly assaulted Teerajet Andrew Poolsawat, 20, who suffered burns on his arms, neck, and waist at a noodle shop in Bangkok on February 7.

Footage shows thousands gathered outside the building on February 8. One of them clung to the fences wearing a skimpy top and red shorts while chanting calls with friends.

The group's leader, Big Calypso, said they wanted Rasipa to apologise for what she did.

Big Calyspo said: 'She has not shown any sign of remorse. We demand justice for Teerajet.'

The injured second-year student from Bangkok University filed a complaint at Khlong Luang Police Station with the help of LGBT rights advocate Kanthat Pongpaiboonvej.

Kanthat said that aside from the burn injuries, the alleged bully shaved Teerajet's hair and forced her to drop out of university.

She added that Teerajet was afraid of Rasipa, who allegedly intruded on the student's room while she was showering and chased her around to humiliate her.

She added Rasipa tried to extort 50,000 baht (1188.05 GBP) from Teerajet so they would stop bullying her.

She said: 'They did not show any sign of guilt about what happened. They even threatened to track down those who reported them to police.

'They have been extorting money from students. Another was victimised for 40,000 baht (950.44 GBP).'

After a short program, the group left the area peacefully although some of the plants were damaged and trash was left around the scene.

The next day, Police Colonel Kiattisak Mitprasat, superintendent of Khlong Luang Police Station, said they arrested Rasipa.

The police chief said: 'Rasipa and her friend Chakatphon Wachirawan, 19, were arrested on charges of assault and extortion after receiving arrest warrants.'

Police Colonel Kiattisak added Rasipa was taken in for interrogation.

He said: 'Because this case was quite violent, the inquiry officer requested an arrest warrant from Thanyaburi Provincial Court to charge the suspects with extortion and assault causing physical and mental harm.

‘The inquiry officer denied their bail release and will bring both suspects to Thanyaburi Provincial Court for detention.'

Another alleged victim of Rasipa also filed a report at the police station.

Bangkok University released a statement later that day announcing the establishment of an investigation committee to determine appropriate punishment and legal consequences.

The university added they have cancelled Teerajet's forced course withdrawal and pledged to provide legal and medical assistance.
