Storm debris surged through the Ohio River, raising concerns for local authorities.

Footage shows tree limbs and debris sweeping through the waters on February 18, putting the Louisville Metro Police Department's River Division on high alert.

Flooding wreaked havoc across the state after torrential rains this week triggered rapidly rising waters, leading to more than 1,000 rescues as emergency responders assisted those trapped in the deluge.

Authorities issued multiple Flash Flood Warnings for Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, and North Carolina as the storm system moved through.

The weather phenomenon also knocked out power to around 40,000 homes.

Authorities confirmed the death toll from the weekend storms that devastated Kentucky has risen to 14.
