Low-life thieves steals two puppies from pet shop
Low-life thieves stole two puppies from a pet shop in the United States.
The thug is believed to have been working with two others to snatch the bulldog puppies from the Perfect Pets pet store in Arapahoe County, Colorado, on February 23.
Deputies reported that three suspects entered the pet store minutes apart, wandering around and asking staff questions about the dogs, which were valued at 4,299 USD (approximately 3,401.80 GBP) each.
CCTV footage shows one of the suspects, Timothy Davis, 37, allegedly faking a seizure to distract employees while a man in a beanie took the opportunity to rush to the pen, pull off the lid, and violently grab both dogs as concerned workers attended to the ‘customer' who had 'passed out'.
Upon noticing the thief, two female employees attempted to chase him as he ran toward the front door. One of them even tried tackling him, causing him to fall to the ground and drop the animals.
He quickly stood back up, seized the dogs again, and dashed away with an accomplice.
Police reported that a gold Cadillac Escalade without license plates pulled up in front of the store, allowing the suspects to jump in before speeding off.
Sheriff's deputies later arrested Timothy Davis, who now faces charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, theft, and drug possession.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff said: 'We are searching for the other three suspects. One of them is a Black male wearing a large black coat and sweatpants.
'Another is a white or Hispanic male who was wearing a blue and white beanie-style hat and had brown hair.
'The third unidentified suspect is believed to be the driver of the Cadillac, which we suspect is a female. We are also searching for the gold Cadillac Escalade, which had no license plates and heavily tinted windows.
'If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of the puppies or the three suspects who are at large, please call our Investigations Tipline at 720-874-8477. You can remain anonymous.'
