A passenger was astonished by a taxi with an entire grocery shop stacked across seats in the Philippines.

Kach Medina Umandap booked a ride from Grab app when she saw the vehicle's interior packed with various goods in Manila on March 5.

Footage shows Kach in her seat while cookies, candies, crisps, bottled water, juice, and even mouthwash hung from the back of the driver's seat.

She said in the video: 'This is my first time riding a Grab car that is like this.

'Wow, brother, you are amazing at being so resourceful in life.'

There were savoury pork rinds and packaged dried mangoes, local delicacies that the driver's passengers could enjoy if in case they are stuck in bad traffic.

Kach, who made history as the first Filipino to visit all 195 countries with a Philippines passport, said it was a memorable experience.

She added: 'It was such an experience. The driver was really amazing.'

Traffic in Manila is notoriously bad, with the city consistently ranking among the most congested in the world due to high vehicle volume, inadequate public transport, poor road infrastructure, undisciplined driving behaviour.
