Furious passenger BERATES shocked Chinese taxi driver asking for code
A passenger verbally assaulted a ride-hailing driver in southern China.
The video was filmed in Shenzhen City in Guangdong Province on October 26.
When a local ride-hailing driver was trying to verify the tail number, the passenger unleashed a verbal assault on the shocked driver.
The driver, determined to seek justice, decided to keep a record of the entire ordeal by preserving the in-car surveillance footage.
The driver was heard talking on the phone with his ride-sharing platform: "Could you help me document the footage captured by the camera? I need it to make a complaint.
"After the foreign passenger got on, I asked him for the last digits of his mobile number, and he verbally abused me."
On November 1, Didi Chuxing, the ride-hailing giant, officially announced that law enforcement agencies are now involved in addressing the matter.
Furthermore, the passenger at the centre of the controversy has extended an apology to the beleaguered driver.
