This is the shocking moment a woman was struck by a hit-and-run driver but was saved by a fence that kept her dangling in the air.

Dramatic CCTV footage shows the pedestrian walking on the streetside of 6th Main Road, Bejai Kapikad, Mangalore, India, on Thursday, March 13.

Suddenly, a white car rammed into a motorcycle in the woman's path. The impact sent her flying, and she became stuck upside down on a compound wall.

Residents were seen rushing to help the victim, who was left hanging on the barrier. She was taken to the hospital and is said to have sustained serious leg injuries.

Reports said the car's driver, Satish Kumar, holds a personal grudge against his neighbour, Murali Prasad.

Allegedly attempting to kill him, Satish accelerated his car, intending to crush Murali, and unintentionally collided with the woman passing by.

The police have arrested Satish and seized his vehicle. A case of attempted murder and reckless driving has been filed and the woman is also reportedly taking action against the suspect.
