Street food trolley catches fire on roadside in Thailand
This is the dramatic moment a street food trolley burst into flames due to a suspected gas tank leak on a roadside in Thailand.
The shopkeeper was preparing noodles and dumplings for a customer when the mobile stall nearby caught fire in Bangkok.
CCTV footage shows the blaze spreading from the tank into the trolley during the incident on March 17.
The worker and his customer panicked and fled immediately. The worker returned seconds later to take his pet cat sitting on one of the chairs.
The customer also returned soon after to take his parked motorbike and save it from the fire before it could spread further.
Shop owner Barry Gavin, 33, said: 'The gas stove hose might have come loose because of the hot weather. The hose melted from it.
'My employee was filling a pot with water. Everything happened so fast. He forgot about my cat and grabbed it when he realised he had left it there.'
Barry can be seen coming to the trolley later to put out the fire.
He used a canvas to smother the flames and beat the fire down until it was extinguished.
Barry added: 'We replaced the gas tank and hose to keep it from happening again.'
No one was hurt, and the trolley suffered minimal burn damage.
