Airin was roused at midnight by her family and woke up looking disoriented in West Java, Indonesia.

Footage shows Airin sitting on the sleeping mat when her parents and siblings turn on the lights while singing happily for her.

Airin appeared confused while watching her family celebrate before white rice on a plate with a candle was put in front of her on the evening of January 20.

The little girl looked at her rice cake while being urged to blow out the candle, but she pushed it away, unsure of what to do.

Her mum Utari Nofrade said: 'We thought of surprising her at midnight but all the bakeshops were already closed.

'I know she appreciated our little surprise for her. The next morning we had a proper party and she was delighted.'
