This is the terrifying moment a taxi tricycle suddenly burst into flames at a junction in the Philippines.

Footage shows the three-wheeled vehicle stalled in the middle of the road in Manila while the driver was trying to kickstart it on March 21.​ Unexpectedly, the vehicle ignited, engulfing it in flames.​

The driver and his passenger quickly disembarked from the burning tricycle, narrowly escaping as the blaze consumed the vehicle.​

Seconds later, two water delivery men carrying gallons of drinking water passed by the scene.​

The heroic duo then helped extinguish the blaze, using the filtered water intended for customers to put out the inferno.​

Locals also arrived at the area, some carrying buckets of water.​

Village officer Joey Lacson then arrived with a fire extinguisher, assisting in the fire rescue operation.​

Joey said: 'What the two delivery boys did was truly admirable because the tricycle could have exploded as the fire was creeping towards the gas tank, and the sidecar was already somewhat damaged by the fire.'
