This is the dramatic moment a rescue team saved a pet dog with its head stuck in a plastic container for four days.

The two-year-old male pooch named White had jammed his head into the plastic container jar to eat food scraps at his home in Ang Thong, Thailand.

Pet owner Bas said he had tried to remove the object from White's head, but he kept running away. Fearing his beloved pet would die of dehydration, he called the local animal rescue team for help.

Footage shows animal catcher Ratha Tapianthong dragging White out from the wooden bed he was hiding under. The terrified pooch wailed as pinned him down before cutting the plastic jar with a pair of pliers.

After he was released, White was given a bowl full of food to help him recover.

Bas said: 'White had squeezed his head into the jar where I keep the food for my pet frogs. I tried removing the container myself, but he wouldn't even let me near him. I was so worried he might die. I'm just glad he's safe now.'
