[WARNING: sensitive content/images of blood] KHAN YOUNIS, GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - APR. 4, 2025: A funeral prayer was held at Gaza's European Hospital on Friday, Apr. 4, for the 18 victims of the Israeli attack on theGaza Strip's southern city of Khan Younis. Relatives transferred the bodies for burial following the funeral prayer. At least 18 Palestinians were killed and many others injured in an Israeli strike targeting the Akkad family's home in the Al-Manara neighborhood of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed Sunday to escalate attacks on Gaza as efforts are underway to implement US President Donald Trump's plan to displace Palestinians from the enclave. More than 50,500 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in Israel's military onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
