GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - AUGUST 9: Israeli forces killed at least 14 Palestinians on Saturday, including 13 people waiting for humanitarian aid, in separate attacks across central and southern Gaza, according to medical and local sources.

In Rafah, southern Gaza, five Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli troops while waiting to receive aid, medical officials told Anadolu.

Earlier in the day, Al-Awda Hospital reported that six Palestinians, including a child, were killed and eight others wounded in an Israeli strike on a crowd near an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza.

Further south, in Khan Younis, an Israeli airstrike hit a residential apartment near the Sharia Court, killing one woman and injuring another, medical sources at Nasser Hospital confirmed.

In a separate incident near the U.S.-affiliated aid distribution center on Al-Tina Street, Israeli forces opened fire on civilians, killing two Palestinians, including a woman.

Since May 27, Israel has been coordinating aid deliveries through the "Gaza Humanitarian Relief Foundation," a controversial body backed by Israel and the U.S. but rejected by the United Nations due to lack of oversight by international relief organizations.

Israeli gunboats fired heavy machine guns toward the coast of Al-Nuseirat in central Gaza, while artillery shelling targeted areas near Asdaa Prison northwest of Khan Younis. No casualties were reported in these attacks, eyewitnesses said.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s military offensive—supported by the U.S.—has killed 61,369 Palestinians and injured 152,850, mostly women and children, according to local health authorities. Over 9,000 remain missing under the rubble, while hundreds of thousands have been displaced.

The blockade and restrictions on aid have led to severe famine, claiming more lives daily. Despite the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) orders to halt its operations, Israel continues its assault, drawing widespread international condemnation.
