Chef slices noodles from atop his head whilst riding unicycle in Chinese restaurant
On April 12, in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, a chef showcased an impressive noodle-slicing performance.
Balancing on a unicycle, the chef held a knife in both hands and sliced noodles from a dough placed on top of his head. During the performance, the unicycle had to remain steadily in motion, while the chef precisely controlled the strength and speed of slicing.
Shanxi is known as the "hometown of Chinese noodles," with over 200 types of noodle-making techniques. Knife-cut noodles are one of the most iconic. This unicycle noodle-slicing performance combines traditional culinary skills with acrobatics, breathing new life into food culture through artistry.
