On April 14, in Hengyang, Hunan, a tyre shop owner was puzzled to find a tire that had been placed outside the store had mysteriously vanished—he initially suspected theft. But after checking the surveillance footage, he discovered the tyre had actually “run away” on its own.

According to the shop owner, Mr. Liu, the tyre had been propped up too upright, and likely due to heat expansion from exposure to sunlight, it began to roll away. It eventually made it to the roadside, where a passerby picked it up. The tyre had just been delivered that morning and was worth several hundred yuan.
