A distracted pedestrian bumped into a street sign while walking through zebra crossing.

Dashcam footage shows the resident approaching the intersection but failing to notice the traffic post in Selangor, Malaysia.

He crashed straight into the pointy end of the board, which sent him a step backwards.

However, he appeared to shake it off and proceeded to move along, awkwardly waiting for the other lane to clear as all of the drivers saw him.

Driver Abdul Rasid said: 'Our family attended a wedding reception and on the way home we stopped at Simpang Empat because of the red light.

'While waiting for the traffic light, we didn't expect that a man would hit the pole. Our family was in a panic because we weren't sure what to do.

'That looked painful and we felt sorry for him.'
