This is the shocking moment a gas cylinder exploded as technicians repaired an air conditioning unit.

Two repairmen and the homeowner were inside a bedroom fixing the appliance when the fuel tank in the kitchen suddenly detonated in Bangkok, Thailand.

CCTV footage shows smoke billowing through the room as the canister blew up on April 30.

The shocked homeowner can be heard shouting at the workers to shut off the gas and remove the tank from the room.

As they carried the gas container outside, the man rushed to rescue his three pet rabbits from a cage nearby.

He then used a fire extinguisher to stop the fire from spreading through the house.

Police said the blast was caused by a loose hose connected to the cylinder, which led to a gas leak that ignited into a spark.

One of the workers suffered a minor injury to his leg during the incident.
