VARIOUS OF CIVILIANS CARRYING DEAD BODIES AFTER FUNERALGAZA, PALESTINE - MAY 12, 2025: Israeli airstrikes hit Shujaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City on Monday, May 12, killing several people and injuring many others. The bodies of those killed were retrieved from the morgue of Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital by relatives to be buried following funeral prayers. The Israeli army has launched a brutal military onslaught on Gaza, killing nearly 52,800 people, mostly women and children, since Oct. 7, 2023. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
