US soldiers practised battlefield blood transfusions during a combat drill in Germany.

Troops from the 1st Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment under the 1st Armored Division Combat Aviation Brigade took part in a mass casualty exercise during Combined Resolve 25-2 in Hohenfels.

Bodycam footage shows medics performing a blood transfusion on a fellow soldier lying on a stretcher — a life-saving technique crucial in combat zones with limited medical supplies on May 18.

The procedure involves directly transferring blood from one soldier to another in the field.

Officials said the hands-on training aimed to enhance medical readiness under battlefield conditions, testing soldiers' ability to administer emergency care under pressure.

Combined Resolve 25-2 gathered U.S. forces alongside allies and partner nations to refine tactical skills and improve operational coordination.

The drill highlighted the critical role of medical support in combat readiness, preparing troops for real-world emergencies where every second counts.
