Storyline: The United Nations reported Wednesday that aid supplies recently delivered to Gaza remain undistributed due to procedural barriers imposed by Israeli authorities. On Wednesday, Antoine Renard, UN World Food Programme (WFP) Country Director in Palestine, announced that the organization had been granted limited access to transport humanitarian supplies into Gaza over the past two days. However, the scale of the permitted shipments remains very restricted, with trucks carrying aid still stuck at the Kerem Shalom crossing between southern Israel and Gaza, according to the WFP official. Renard highlighted that aid supplies had yet to reach Gaza's population as of his statement. He emphasized that Gaza has been under a complete blockade for nearly 80 days, with data released on May 12 showing that all 2.1 million residents are facing a food crisis. The Israeli Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) announced on Wednesday evening that 100 trucks carrying humanitarian aid, including flour, baby food, and medical supplies, had entered Gaza that day. However, according to the UN, aid supplies that have recently arrived in the enclave have not yet been handed out to the Gazan people due to procedural barriers set by Israel.
