Loose wheel causes chaos on highway in China
A loose wheel caused chaos on a motorway in China.
The terrifying incident occurred at the 1,151-kilometre mark on the Jiguang Expressway.
Shocking footage shows the wheel flying over the central barrier and into the opposite lane. Another video clip captures the tyre violently striking a small car, causing severe damage.
Traffic police launched an investigation and determined that the lorry driver, identified as Liu, was fully responsible.
The vehicle was found to have mechanical faults and lacked proper safety equipment.
Authorities said that vehicles with such hazards should not be on the road. They urged all drivers to conduct safety checks before setting off.
