PROTESTERS HOLDING PLACARDS, AGENCE FRANCE PRESSE BUILDING IN BACKGROUNDPARIS, FRANCE - MAY 28: Pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered Wednesday, May 28, outside the headquarters of Agence France-Presse (AFP) in Paris to draw attention to the killing of Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip by Israeli army. The protesters held placards and photos of journalists who lost their lives during Israel's ongoing military offensive, calling for accountability and greater media coverage of the situation in Gaza. The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a devastating offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 54,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
