Stage collapses during school concert in Peru
This is the horrifying moment a stage collapses during a school concert in Peru.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, May 28, during celebrations marking the anniversary of the San Nicolas Educational Institution in Sanchez Carrion.
Dramatic footage shows a local band performing on stage in the Plaza de Armas in Huamachuco when the structure suddenly gave way, sending several performers plunging to the ground.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and assisted the injured individuals.
Authorities confirmed that at least 12 people were taken to the hospital. No fatalities have been reported.
An investigation into the cause of the collapse is currently underway.
