Furious revellers attacked a stage because a band were forced to finish the set early at a festival in Thailand.

Locals were watching the rock group at the outdoor event but they wound up their performance at 3:15 AM in the morning instead of the scheduled 6 AM finale.

Police arrived at the scene and ordered partiers to go home to bed. Angry members of the audience responded by hurling objects onto the stage and vandalising a patrol car.

They also began fighting with each other following the show at the Bang Pakong Power Plant at Chachoengsao on March 5.

Local police officer Colonel Pongsan Meesri said: ‘The incident was reported to us. We are working on interviewing all those involved.'

Colonel Pongsan added they are tracking down the two groups of youngsters caught in a brawl.

He said: ‘We will file charges and make arrests after we have gathered statements from witnesses.'

Musician Hatairat Tosraksa from the 'Saengthong Finland' band, which was performing at the time the concert was stopped, said they had only played three songs.

She said that she was devasted for fans - who had paid 300 Baht (8.68) per ticket - and were waiting for her band as it was scheduled to play from 3 AM to 6 AM.

After the show was stopped, she said that she cried and tried to explain to her fans before the audience threw things on the stage.
