Los Angeles, United States - June 03, 2025 06/03/2025 04:37 pm GMT-0700 EAGLE ROCK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – At approximately 4:37 p.m. Tuesday, Los Angeles Fire Department units responded to a significant water main break at the intersection of Eagle Rock Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered major water flow and ground rupture affecting several sections of the westbound lanes. The force of the break caused visible damage to the roadway, prompting crews to immediately shut down westbound traffic just east of Eagle Rock Boulevard for public safety. LAFD personnel remained on scene as they waited for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) crews to begin repairs. There was no estimate on how long the lane closures would remain in effect. Commuters were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
