US, Los Angeles: Koreatown Car Dips Into Sinkhole Caused By Large Water Main Break

Los Angeles, United States - October 17, 2025 10/17/2025 02:28 am GMT-0700 KOREATOWN, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Emergency crews responded to a water emergency in Koreatown early Friday morning. At approximately 2:28 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department received reports of flooding near the intersection of West 4th Street and South St. Andrews Place. Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters discovered a significant water main break that had caused a sinkhole to form in the street. A parked car was partially submerged in the sinkhole, complicating the situation further. Crews were working to address the issue, but had not yet been able to shut off the water supply at the time of this report.
