Building collapses as river bursts banks in China
This is the terrifying moment a four-storey building collapses after floodwaters washed away its foundations.
Dramatic footage shows the structure tipping backwards into the water in one piece as onlookers gasp in dismay.
Authorities said the incident occurred after days of torrential rain caused the Dulong River to burst its banks in Dulongjiang, Yunnan Province, on May 31.
Local media reported that the building had been evacuated earlier.
The region has been battered by severe flooding and mudslides triggered by record-breaking rainfall. The disaster has damaged roads, swept away bridges and buildings, and left several towns and cities isolated as swollen rivers breached their banks.
