A family of monkeys turned a hammock into their playground by jumping in and out of it.

Annemarie du Plessis was visiting Kruger National Park, South Africa, on May 1 when she spotted a group of seven vervet monkeys having some fun.

Adorable footage captured the group of all ages as they leaped from the floor and into the hammock bed, twisting it and flying around.

Annemarie said: “I was astonished and amazed. Lots of campers in the camping area were gathering around the hammock, entertained.

“I’ve never seen this before. Monkeys are very naughty and playful. The wind was blowing the hammock around, and surely caught their attention.

“At first they only jumped on and over it, until they discovered they could sit inside, and swing.

“It was hilarious watching them, jumping & sliding into the hammock, and sometimes missing it, when jumping. They played there for two hours.”
