A bungling tourist was seen dragging two large suitcases behind a motorcycle taxi on his way to the airport.

Footage shows the holidaymaker holding onto the bags as they rolled along a road on a two-wheeler in Koh Samui, Thailand.

The reckless visitor and the local driver rode uphill, sparking safety concerns among motorists behind on June 9.

He was riding without a helmet, with both hands fully occupied, while moving at an estimated 30kph.

British tourist Olivia Osbourne said: 'He was pulling both suitcases while sitting on a running motorbike.'

Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
