This is the hilarious moment a beachgoer fell into the sea while trying to pose on a tree.

Holidaymaker Anthony Ferrer attempted to walk along an intact fallen tree to take photos during his vacation with friends at Tanduh Beach in Sulu, the Philippines.

Footage shows the tourist carefully balancing himself as he inched along the edge of the trunk on June 19.

However, midway through, he lost his footing and plunged into the water.

Their tour guide sprinted to help, but it was too late as the vacationer had already slipped into the sea.

On his second attempt, Anthony lay on the tree, leaning against a branch and striking a pose.

Moments later, he lost his balance again and fell, this time fully submerged.

His friends can be heard laughing in the background at the comical mishap.

Anthony said: 'This is one of the iconic spots where people take photos with the ‘I LOVE TANDUH BEACH' signage.

'Before the trip, I imagined myself confidently walking on that iconic coconut tree, but I didn't realise how hard it would be to keep my balance. The tour guide even helped me, but I guess I was meant to swim.'
