This is the dystopian moment a humanoid robot walked over to a pop concert - waving its hands like another fan.

The Chinese AI machine was part of a stand at a technology event but began ambling around the venue in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 19.

It appeared to be drawn to the sound of a pop band's performance and shuffled over. Just like humans in the crowd, the bot began waving its arm back and forth, even interacting with the lead singer.

Amazed onlooker Suraiya Yaya said: ‘The robot roamed around the venue and was attracted by the music. It behaved just like a human. It was surreal.'

The G1 humanoid robot was built by the Chinese firm Unitree. Rivals include Tesla Bot, also known as Optimus, which is being developed by Elon Musk's company.
