Simon Cowell on e-bike without helmet - despite two previous accidents
Simon Cowell was spotted back riding an e-bike without a helmet - despite two previous accidents.
The TV star was spotted without his safety equipment cruising along Wandsworth High Street on Friday (20 June).
Francesca Ribeiro, 41, was driving along Wandsworth High Street in South London on Friday (June 20) when she noticed Simon cycling next to her car.
Francesca asked her son, who was in the passenger seat, to call him over, and Simon stopped to have a brief chat.
In a clip captured by Francesca, she asks the TV mogul if he was "scared," but Cowell says that although he got lost, cycling is his quickest way to get around."
Cowell has previously been involved in two serious e-bike accidents.
In August 2020 he broke his back in three places and in February 2022 he suffered a broken arm.
Francesca, a civil servant from Wallington, London, said: "I was so surprised to see him out there."
"I was actually quite worried for him to be cycling without a helmet but he seemed OK with it."
"When I realised he was alright, I just told him to travel with God."
"It's just something we say in my culture to wish people safety on their travels."
Once Simon headed off, he continued down Wandsworth High Street before turning left towards Battersea.
Francesca said: "He was so nice and just started chatting to us so easily."
"I mean, I love Simon and I watch Britain's Got Talent all the time, so this was also such a treat."
"He's such a lovely guy and I couldn't believe we were talking like mates."
