Mother swan chases away child to protect her chicks
This is the hilarious moment a mother goose chased away a child to protect her chicks.
Pet owner Egis Saputra was walking his pet Bengal goose named Duki, along with her three hatchlings, around the neighbourhood in West Java, Indonesia.
However, a group of boys passing by playfully teased the wary waterfowl, causing it to charge at them on June 22.
Footage shows one of the youngsters approaching the agitated bird, prompting it to attack.
The child then ran away as Duki honked loudly, flapping her wings and stretching her neck to intimidate the boy.
Egis said: 'The naughty children outside my house were trying to catch Duki's babies, but their attempts failed.'
Bengal geese are known to be highly protective of their offspring. When threatened, the mother goose will display aggressive behaviour to ward off potential dangers. This protective instinct is common among many waterfowl species and is vital for the survival of their young.
