VARIOUS FPV DRONE SHOTS OF SIDE ANCIENT CITY (3:51-4:59)ANTALYA, TÜRKİYE - MAY 27, 2025: The ancient cities of Aspendos, Phaselis and Side in Türkiye’s Mediterranean province of Antalya were recently filmed using a first-person view (FPV) drone, offering a unique aerial perspective of the well-preserved archaeological sites. Dating back to the Roman and Hellenistic periods, the three cities are among the most visited cultural heritage destinations in southern Türkiye. The footage highlights iconic landmarks such as the Aspendos Theater — regarded as one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world — and the Temple of Apollo in Side, dramatically perched along the coastline. In Phaselis, nestled within a pine forest near the town of Kemer, the ruins of ancient harbors, baths and agoras are interwoven with the natural landscape, underscoring the city’s historical significance as a former port and trade hub. Archaeological restoration and conservation efforts are ongoing at all three sites. Local tourism authorities report steady visitor numbers, particularly during the summer season. The sites remain open to the public, with guided tours available to educate visitors on their historical importance. Writing by Berkay Gur
