This is the chaotic moment bar girls fought over customers in the depraved tourist town of Pattaya.

Footage shows the women pulling each other's hair as shocked revellers watched from nearby bars in the Thai 'Sin City' on Wednesday, June 25.

The violent women in tight dresses and high heels slapped and wrestled each other as several male tourists tried to intervene.

Another clip shows two girls brutally stomping on another woman lying on the ground before a tourist stopped them.

A motorcycle rider passing through the area said: 'I don't know why they started fighting. I only rode into the street to take a look because I heard there was a fight. By the time I arrived, they had already separated.

'There was a group of women fighting, and there were foreigners with their girls. Two tourists fought each other before separating. Neither was seriously injured.'

Locals believe the bar girls were competing over well-paying customers, who flock to the region to drink and rent girlfriends for their holiday..

A Pattaya City Police Station officer said no formal complaint had been lodged regarding the altercation.

Former fishing village Pattaya became popular with American troops on 'rest and relaxation' breaks in the 1950s and 1960s when the US military had bases in Thailand while fighting Communism in Vietnam. Rural families are said to have even dressed their sons as women to cash in on the gold rush.

The handful of bars in the coastal town quickly grew, and it is now the world's biggest sex holiday destination, with round-the-clock prostitution and drugs - a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah rife with crime and debauchery.

Government chiefs have attempted to clean up the city, but regular violence, depravity and corruption claims continue to blight its reputation.
