Tourist slips into river while posing along bamboo pole
This is the hilarious moment a tourist slipped into a river while posing along a bamboo pole.
Jon Patrick Benito was on vacation to celebrate his graduation when he accidentally lost his footing while crossing a narrow makeshift bridge at Lisap River in Oriental Mindoro, the Philippines.
Footage captured by Ed Luwin Yap shows Jon carefully stepping onto the pathway on June 17.
However, he plunged into the flowing water midway across after losing his balance and falling off the wooden beam.
Ed said: 'I gently nudged Sir Pat to cross the makeshift bridge just to get a glimpse of the scenery. Mishaps can happen, and he slipped terribly. He only avoided being swept away by the current because his leg got caught between the beams of the bridge.
'Sir Pat and I are really good friends. He lives far from my place, but he decided to spend both his pre-academic and post-clinical graduation vacation here in my province. His program is Bachelor of Science in Nursing.'
The holidaymaker reportedly did not sustain any injuries from the comical mishap.
