This is the shocking moment a double-decker bus collided head-on with a truck in Hong Kong.

Mr Ng, 48, was driving the lorry when he struck the passing transit vehicle, operated by Mr Xie, 62, along the curved Lin Tak Road on the morning of July 9.

Dramatic dashcam footage shows the heavy goods vehicle slamming into the front of the bus.

The impact left the front of the cargo truck heavily damaged, splitting its body and roof open.

Styrofoam boxes and plastic baskets were sent flying into the air and scattered across the asphalt.

The crash injured 13 people, aged 11 to 75, including the truck driver and the bus captain.

Emergency responders and police rushed to the scene to perform first aid.

The drivers and passengers were then transported to United Hospital and Tseung Kwan O Hospital.

The double-decker, operating KMB Route No. 214 from Yau Tong to Cheung Sha Wan, was involved in the collision.

KMB operators had to reroute vehicles passing through the area.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
