A bus crash left 12 dead and over 40 injured in Rajasthan, India.

Footage shows locals outside the hospital, where injured passengers were brought in for urgent medical attention.

Reports indicate that the bus, en route from Salasar, veered out of control and collided head-on with a culvert upon reaching Laxmangarh in Sikar district on October 29, around 2 pm.

District Superintendent of Police Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav confirmed 12 fatalities, with several passengers sustaining injuries and being rushed to hospitals in Laxmangarh and Sikar.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his grief following the tragic crash.

He said: 'It is truly heartbreaking that lives were lost in this unfortunate incident. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of those who have passed away.

'Rest assured, the authorities have been tasked with ensuring that the injured individuals are provided with the best possible treatment.'

In another incident, a double-decker bus overturned, killing a farmer and injuring dozens on a roadside in Telangana on September 21.

Forty passengers were injured when a coach crashed into a ravine in Maharashtra on September 23.

Twenty individuals were also wounded on September 30 when a bus lost control and collided with a canter truck on the Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway.
