Cairo, Egypt - July 12, 2025 A massive fire has been raging for over six hours inside a detergent and chemical factory in the Robiki area of Badr City, with flames and thick smoke continuing to engulf the site. At least 15 fire trucks equipped with strategic water tanks have been dispatched in an attempt to control the inferno, which has been made especially dangerous by the presence of highly flammable chemicals stored within the facility. Eyewitnesses reported hearing multiple explosions from within the factory, believed to be caused by chemical reactions among the stored materials. As of now, no casualties have been officially confirmed, but emergency responders remain on high alert. The surrounding area is blanketed in smoke, prompting concerns for residents and workers nearby. Authorities are urging people to stay clear of the site due to potential toxic exposure.
