Bakersfield, United States - September 18, 2025 09/17/2025 11:08 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A drive-by shooting late Wednesday night in the 900 block of Vine Drive near South P Street resulted in one fatality. Officers were dispatched to the scene, where they found one victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head, believed to have been caused by a shotgun. Family members of the victim were present at the scene during the investigation. Initial reports indicated that the suspect's vehicle was a white, two-door pickup truck that fled the scene. Police later located the truck at a residence in the 600 block of Lawson Road. It remains unclear whether the suspect is still at large or in custody.
