US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield CHP Pursuit Ends In Crash
Bakersfield, United States - November 30, 2024 11/30/2024 10:25 pm (GMT-0800) BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A California Highway Patrol pursuit ended in a crash late Saturday night near the intersection of Akers and De Ette Avenue. The crash, which occurred around 10:25 p.m., involved a male suspect who was taken into custody after being evaluated for possible intoxication. The suspect, whose identity and involvement in the incident remain unclear, was given field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer before being placed in handcuffs. Authorities have not confirmed the reason for the pursuit or the suspect’s specific connection to the crash. The crash also involved another vehicle, but early reports suggest that the victims in the second vehicle were not seriously injured.
