A rescue team helped stranded students board an amphibian unit amid flooding.

Footage captured by officer Ronan Li shows a group of high schoolers waiting on a walkway as they headed home along Espana Boulevard in Manila, the Philippines.

Responders from the Raha Volunteer Fire Department, wearing helmets, are seen stopping in front of the eight youngsters, who were visibly excited to step onto the truck bed on July 21.

One of the rescuers can be seen lowering a ladder and assisting the boys and girls onto the vehicle.

Typhoon Wipha swept through northern Philippines before moving towards the South China Sea, leaving three people dead and affecting hundreds of thousands.

The storm later weakened into a tropical storm as it made landfall in China on the same day.

Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon continues to bring rain to parts of Luzon and Visayas.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued warnings of scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, especially over western Luzon, including Metro Manila. Flooding and landslides are likely in low-lying and mountainous areas.
