This is the dramatic moment frantic residents fled from floodwater when a subdivision wall collapsed.

A woman saw the wall cave in and quickly warned her neighbours to flee in Rizal, the Philippines.

CCTV footage shows the local's friend grabbing her wrist and sprinting away with her, while other terrified passers-by dashed toward their homes for safety.

They can be heard screaming, with a dog continuously barking, as a motorist drove out of the street on July 23.

Moments later, a surge of water swept into the motorway, carrying debris from the fallen wall onto the road.

The current intensified as the accumulated murky water from the compound drifted across the area.

The chaotic scene came amid the carnage from Typhoon Wipha, which triggered floods across Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Hong Kong was also battered by the storm.

In the Philippines, at least seven people were killed and more than 60,000 were displaced.
