This is the amusing moment employees spotted a wild monkey eating their food outside their office at a farm.

Footage shows the Formosan rock macaque lounging in front of an open sliding window while munching on tea eggs it snatched from the office pantry at Wuling Farm in Taichung, Taiwan.

The ravenous primate sat on the roof as staff watched it tuck into their food on July 21.

After finishing the snacks, the macaque slammed the window shut, leaving the group stunned before they burst into laughter.

The filmer said: 'My colleague cooked the eggs for breakfast, and it was left unattended for a while. When we were about to have our meal, we discovered that it was no longer in the bowl.

'We were amazed by the animal's behaviour because it really closed the window. It was polite and at the same time mischievous.'

Formosan rock macaques are known for their curiosity and boldness, especially around human settlements.

These highly intelligent primates often explore their surroundings in search of food and are not shy about approaching people or entering open spaces.
