China: CMG launches nanny robot expo to help bring robots into ordinary households
China Media Group (CMG) on Tuesday launched a nanny robot conference, aimed at helping more robots enter the homes of ordinary people. Co-hosted by the CMG's New Media Center and the China Center for Information Industry Development, the expo focuses on the robotics revolution in daily life, highlighting areas of smart healthcare, intelligent homes, home education and community management. The event features carefully designed competition segments to engage attendees, showcases the practical applications of nanny robots in various household scenarios, so as to help more robotics technology achievements enter ordinary households. Following the expo in Beijing, robot competitions will take place at branch venues in cities of Qingdao, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Suzhou to fully showcase the innovation achievements and application scenarios in the robotics sector. Exceptional cases in robot application will be highlighted at an exhibition and performance ceremony to further promote the development of the nanny robot industry. Alongside the conference, the CMG premiered its micro-documentary series Hi Robot, offering the audience an in-depth look at the latest breakthroughs in home-service robotics and the future role of robots in daily life. Hi Robot features interviews with over 30 industry insiders, including robotics-company founders, academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and renowned experts and scholars in the field of embodied intelligence. Nanny robots are defined as autonomous and embodied intelligence systems, primarily applied in smart elderly care, homeschooling and household services.
