This is the dramatic moment a van caught fire at an airport in Atlanta, disrupting traffic on the upper terminal level.

Footage shows the burning vehicle emitting a black plume of smoke, with emergency responders already at the scene.

Authorities said the van was parked at the curb on the upper deck of the South Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when the fire broke out at around 7:33 pm on Wednesday, August 13.

Local media reported that smoke was seen coming from the glove compartment moments before the entire vehicle became engulfed in flames.

Traffic in the area was temporarily diverted to allow emergency crews to respond safely. Airport operations returned to normal shortly before 10 pm.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
