A skilled mother made a creative costume using synthetic fruits for her daughter's school event.

Sunchine Lopez-Bumagat designed the fruit-themed DIY dress for her child, Hermione Ingrid, to prepare for the Nutrition Month celebration in Laguna, the Philippines.

Footage shows assorted lifelike fruits and costume materials laid on the floor on July 31.

Sunchine can be seen attaching three dome-shaped Styrofoam pieces to a headband and hot-glueing vibrant fruit ornaments onto it to create a colourful headpiece.

They then decorated a white sundress placed on a mannequin with various sliced designs of citrus fruits, kiwis, berries, grapes, and flower accents in different sizes.

In another clip, Hermione is seen wearing the charming outfit, complete with matching shoes adorned with bunches of grapes.

Her mother was heard asking her to give a twirl to show off the full ensemble during the party at Placido Escudero Memorial School.

Moments later, Hermione, along with other students, was called on stage to receive recognition.

She was awarded Most Creative Costume and Princess Nutrition 2025.

Sunchine said: 'It's amazing how an idea from the internet can come to life. This costume was also about healing my inner child. Creating Hermione's fruit-themed look was truly a labour of love.'
